The Superfund for Jewish Education and Continuity is an organization that seeks to ensure Jewish continuity through advocacy and fundraising for intensive Jewish day school education, now and the future.

Now, and the Future
There are 2 sets of initiatives the Superfund supports, to address needs of our Day Schools now and in the future:

Annual Campaign:
In order to alleviate the current crisis in Day School funding, the Superfund will distribute all donations on a current ongoing basis.

Donations will be allocated in one of two ways:
  • Money will be distributed to all eligible Jewish day schools, based on a strict formula of the school’s enrollment.
  • Pursuant to donor’s specific designation.
Endowments:
Every individual in the Jewish community will be encouraged to make a gift to an endowment fund in support of Jewish education. The principal of the endowment will be invested, while interest earned will be redirected into the school’s operating expenses. Individuals are encouraged to dedicate 5% or more of their estate to this critical investment in our future.

Our goal is to move away from the “user-pay” model of Jewish day school funding. We are looking to expand the support of Jewish day schools to the broadest possible base.
